Durobump and Long Travel

Anyone running the durobump rear bumpstops with a long travel setup such as Dobinsons or metaltech/Icon? I have them currently and was wondering if I still need the spacer when I decide to go LT in the near future.

Durobumps are 4.25" long already. I think another 2" spacer will make it very long.

No experience but I think you'd be ok. The DuroBumps are probably twice as long as stock

It depends upon how much up travel your shocks have. The bump stops should protect the shocks from becoming your bump stops. You need to remove the springs and cycle the suspension to determine your bump stop height. You want the bump stop contact to occur before the shock is fully compressed.

I'm running Durobumps with the Metaltech / Icon long travel rear.

I contacted about it, and they recommend using a 3" spacer, since the bumps are designed to compress more than a stock setup. I'm running a 2" Toytec spacer with mine.

Durobumps compress to only a bit longer than stock - I run Apache Offroad extensions - works great!
