E-Locker question

Hello fellow Gen3ers.

Mine is a 99 SR5 4x4 without the factory E-locker. However, the cabling seems to be there. When I remove the switch blanks from where I believe the E-locker button would be, I see a couple of larger wiring harnesses. One is slightly larger than the other, but both look like the standard Toyota plugs like you'd find for the window controls or behind the dash for other functions.

My question is, since I see those wiring "pieces" at the dash, is it safe to assume they lead all the way to the rear diff area where the locker would be installed? Follow up question, do I only need to find a nice used E-locker diff and install it and plug it in? Seems much cheaper than an ARB air locker or a Yukon one....

Give it up you brilliant beautiful people!!!

It is only partially wired. It will need to added from the rear to the front.

If I have the harness from the E-locker 3rd up to the 2 plugs under the seat is it just plug and play? I have the RR diff lock switch also.

You will need to modify your rear axle housing or swap in the entire eLocker axle assembly. You can't just simply bolt an eLocker 3rd into a non-eLocker housing.

Well that sounds like too much hassle. Looks like I'm just gonna use the 1 2voltguy wire kit and switch.
