E7019 VSS Wire

Hi all...just installed an E7019 in a 2008 non-jbl 4runner. Need a little help with the vss wire.

I located 2 wires that are purple with a red stripe. They are both located in the lower bundle (the vertical one) behind the HVAC controls. Not sure which one is the vss wire, or if I am even looking in the correct bundle.

Once I located the wire, how should i connect it to the middle prong of the 5 prong slot? My thought was I would connect a separate wire to the middle prong and run it behind the HVAC Controls and splice to the VSS Wire once I find it.

If I can't end up finding it, would best buy or a car audio place be familiar with this issue? I assume other GPS systems also require a connection to the VSS wire.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Connect to the 5 prong (pin)....... sounds as though you don't have the wire harness. Ask the seller of the NAV unit if they have it. If not look around ebay and look for sellers who sell OEM toyota NAVs (I had to buy a harness, but I can't for the life of me remember who the seller was). IF you have wire harness, Best Buy may be able to help.

Anyway, I still don't have the harness to connect my bluetooth and rear camera (which is why I never connected them). I'm going to have to somehow get the wire to "touch" the appropriate pin to get it to work.

I just installed the E7019 as well and need to do make this connection, thanks for the info!

Wanted to also ask:

Does the E7019 have the capability of using a reverse camera? For the life of me, I cannot find this information anywhere. I have looked everywhere!

I already have the Eclipse B106 camera that is direct plug and play from Fujitsu but where the heck do I plug it in?
