You all know I'm still a rookie, but I got my nav, and I have 2 questions.

1. Best place to hookup reverse and VSS??? Is the best place the same place as petegaz described in his '03 4R? (first link on "help w/ nav install" thread.

2. Do I need to install parking brake sensor? If so, where?

THANKS AGAIN!!!

The place that petegaz suggested is where I hooked up. Its easy to get to and no sense messingwith a good thing.

You do not need to hook up the park sensor. I am not sure what the the park sensor does but my guess is that if you have a RSE you will be able to view DVDs on the HU but you must be in park to do that, thus the connection to the park sensor.

Someone else may correct me if I am wrong on that, but I do not have the park sensor connected, I do not have the rear seat entertainment unit and everything works just great. Good Luck

nope, AFAI can tell that's correct. there's no need to hook up the parking sensor unless you have RSE...and even then, apparently (according to some of the sienna guys I've read post) the RSE also senses when the VSS is hooked up and moving, so....

I also hooked up the VSS and REV sensors where described and it was easy to get to, I'd recommend those locations too.
