With this, why is lag such a horrible thing anyway?
I mean, I see the point of instant power with a sc - thats pretty obvious. But realistically, for those doing a lot of wheeling or crawling i.e., what difference does more hp really make? Youre always moving slow while crawling and the main concern is finding your lines and keeping everything in control. More power doesnt accomplish anything in that scenerio, other than lead to broken drive train parts. More power comes into play when you get off the trail and jump on the highway with your 33s" and lift and youre climbing a hill on the highway or driving at high elevation or towing something. If Im crusing down the highway at 70 the turbo is already spinning and lag will be reduced when I hit the gas to pass someone, correct? Really what difference does counting "one-onethousand" in lag time make in practical scenerios? It seems that the issues people have with the turbo are in the mindset of racing, or creating really large amounts of hp. I have no intention of racing my 4runner ever, or driving with a lead foot. For practical uses when kept at 7 or 8 psi I think the turbo seems like a great option
