My 99 4runner has about 210k miles on it. I was getting an occasional miss or stutter that didn't stay active for too long. Seems it happened when it's warmed up. I decided to swap the coils, plugs, wires and injectors. I bought some cheap injectors on EBay for $60/set of 6. After installing everything and putting everything back together, I started it up. It would idle smooth but it now misses wildly under any throttle. I decided to swap back the original coil packs to check and see if they might be the cause. No change. I feel confident the plugs and wires are installed properly and I'm certain I didn't mix up the firing order. I checked that online and confirmed the order was correct. Could it be the cheap injectors? Today I brought my OEM injectors in for an overhaul. I'll pick them up tomorrow and see if they are the culprit. Anyone have any input or advice? Thanks in advance.

$10 per injector? Of course, those are garbage. Find good used OEM injectors or calibrate yours. I have OEM factory injectors on all my toyota's currently at 270 K, 230K, and 210K miles. Make sure to use OEM fuel filters and run Gumout fuel injector cleaners or use top-tier gasoline.
Bought my injectors (97 3.4l) from this seller, and sent them off to Witchunter. Very happy how it turned out.

I mean, I'm all for saving money, really am.
But with something as crucial as injector, I'd never cheap out. If your injectors fail, your rig is dead in the water, call a tow truck. I've only bought injectors from reputable companies at fair prices. I have a set in right now that I paid $300 for, that's only $50 an injector and they work flawless. 'Course it's for a boosted engine and all that but I wasn't going to risk blowing up my engine or getting stranded.
