Ebay Heated Seat install

Ha, there are certainly a lot of guys here that know their stuff. The only reason I had the guts to do the heated seat mod was because of the info on this forum.

Everything is finished and stalled. Heated seats work nice, which will make my wife happy. After all said and done I spent just under $100.00 and spent about 4 hours time installing. Well worth it.

How did you run the wiring from the center console to the pads? The passenger side looks fairly easy to get it under the carpet but on the drivers side there is the HVAC vent in the way of access to the carpet

I ran the drivers side pad wires in the front of the shifter assembly, stuffed as much wire as I could down behind the carpet, and was able to fish it out underneath. Then I kind of pulled it over so the wire snaked down where there is a good gap between the console and the rug, and pulled it out underneath in the middle of where the seat is..

In cabin fuse panel

Quite easy to do. Run fused power from battery into cab. Find +12VDC from inside of cab (under dash or at fuseblock) that is switched to the ON position (or ACC if you want heated seats without the key to on position), tap that wire and run it to a relay. Here's your standard 30A relay wiring diagram:

I am trying to do the same thing but your image is no longer visible. I wanted to pull power from the battery with 4 or 6 awg AWG to a Blue Seas Fuse Panel in/near glovebox area. Was going to put a 50 amp breaker near battery and run wire threw firewall into glove box area. I wanted the whole panel to be wired to power when on only and trying to understand how and where to place the relay to accomplish this..

Thanks everyone.
