What is all involved? Do you know exactly what you need to do and is it really just plug and play? my 97 SR5 has no security light or key fobs but I wouldn't mind having it. The yard by me has quite a few 3g's in there too.

I think you literally just cut the wires off the junkyard runner and splice them into your truck. If you search around, there's got to be a RS3000 installation PDF

I did a little searching and some detailed info on the rs3000 but the page doest have the installation instructions. It has all of the other info though. I would need to know exactly what needs to be removed and how to splice it in. Hopefully someone has more information on it.

Interested to see how the IAC holds up. $80 for a bumper is cheap. Glad to hear it worked out. On a separate note, I know those Neoprene seat covers are pretty sweet! Super Comfortable!

Just replaced broken windshield sprayer on my '98. I got new Toyota OEM off Ebay from a Toyota dealership for $20.75 delivered. It's for a newer 4Runner and has 3 nozzles instead of 2.

If anyone else wants to upgrade:

I had good luck with mine. Because the OEM bumper rusted I undercoated the rear before putting it on. I used ratchet straps to get the holes to line up. I figure the hanging brackets had shifted a bit. Four years later the bumper looks good and there's no rust. Making a general sweeping statement isn't helpful. Why are they crap? Did yours rust?

Guinea pig at its finest. I have run these for a year and a half and I am just now having to replace the rear heims. So far VERY pleased especially for the price. Guinea pigging payed off.

I just received custom seat covers for my LTD front seats. I need to find the time to strip to original leather off and install new ones plus the seat heaters I have left over from another truck I sold before using them.
Also looking at a high output alternator on eBay to upgrade my charging system.

Gonna go ahead and double the sample size here. Haven't been able to get my idle to behave despite multiple cleanings so I wonder if a knocked something lose while cleaning it.

Will report back after after I've run it for a few weeks.

I gave B&R auto parts a try from fleabaymotors. I got a used drivers side door mirror. Exact match for color, the condition was exactly how they described it. They had great communication and updates for tracking. I'd buy something from them again.
