Eclipse AVN6610 HELP~!

first thing is to troubleshoot this, is unplug all the harnesses from the unit, and make sure the car is working fine, if you said youve now CUT the VSS wire from the BCM and stuff, you need to make sure that the truck is fully functional by itself, a NAV system SHOULD NOT be throwing a CEL or anything like that!

on the navigation standpoint everything is functional, it is just that audio issue i am having throwing me off.
as for check engine like goes it will only come on if the VSS is not tap in correctly.
please advise.

ok as far as the VSS goes, page 135 of the operation guide, will show you how to check the VSS signal..
Now as far as audio "problems" what is going on?
As far as i know, the problems your having are
-Poor sound quality
-VOL TEXT popping up
just need to know exactly what were fixing...

Yes those are the problem I am having right now.
As mentioned on earlier post when the vehicle is on ON/ACC mode(if engine is not started) the audio will work fine without poor sound quality and vol text issue. However once the vehicle is started I will have those audio issues.
I know that the installation instruction did not tell me to cut or disconnect any wire beside's tapping in the Reverse, Park and VSS wire. Any idea what went wrong? is there more then 1 VSS on the ECM? as far as I remember there is only 1 wire with that color code.

spider, not to sound like im correcting you, but he did mention that it sounds fine when he is parked, and the engine is not on...
I would imagine that the power antenna is hooked up,
BUT 1MZ-V8 i would still double check your other wires just to eliminate any other problems

Had the same problem when I had a Scion HU in the runner a few years ago, the sound became terible when the engine was running (mostly alternator wine) but was OK parked. Based on some input from forum members I rewired to provide power to the antenna and all was fine.

There was another plug that is right below the power antenna from the OEM HU. That plug is not available on the Eclipse unit so it have been tape up with electrical tape.
I will take the unit apart again once I get some free time and take some pictures, maybe you guys can help can help me pin point the problem.

ok called eclipse, and yea, tech support is super helpfull (not really)
He told me to unplug the unit for appx 20min to hard reset the unit, and see if that fixes it...
1MZ-V8 if you could take a pic of the VOL TEXT message your seeing it would be a huge help, because as of right now, im seeing NOTHING on that.

its strange because i cant find ANYTHING on that message, ive looked in manuals, tried getting my demo to do it, and tried calling eclipse about it...
Try unplugging it and hard resetting it if you havent yet

If you CUT that wire (VSS) in half, did you solder, crimp, or scotch lock it back? Hopefully you soldered and taped it.

I finally got some time to take the unit apart and take some pictures.
with everything connected bluetooth, camera and ipod.
after disconnecting the bluetooth unit and power up the AVN everything seem to be working fine. No more VOL TEXT issue. is it possible that the bluetooth is defective? (maybe the harness?)

These 3 have bluetooth unplug.
I finally got some time to take the unit apart and take some pictures.
