Eclipse Install Help...

I had a question about amplifying the antenna on my new Eclipse unit. For those who have done this, do I just run a jumper from another wire to the third wire in the antenna bundle? or is there an easier way to do it? I was looking at the norgetech thread but can't really tell from his pictures where he piggy-backed the power from... Also, there is an extention piece that was supplied by Eclipse with the unit and the instructions said that it must be used... is that correct? this doesn't power the antenna, does it? any help is appreciated. thanks.
