i had a adapter made but the reception was still poor. i already sold my scion nav (gave up) and will be installing the 6620 this weekend by myself so im a little worried. The scion was also affecting my sound cause i have a system and needed the extra preamp outputs for the sub.
i've always had someone work on my system, now due to funds im forced to
do it myself. im not worried about getting to the radio its when im there that i'll be stumped.

Most eclipse systems are plug and play. If your truck origionally came with a jbl system (with the seperate amp) you'll have to order a harness off of crutchfield, which uses the preamp outs from the aftermarket stereo to the origional amp. (you may just be able to take the ones straight from the amp directly into the eclipse).

I installed an eclipse 2454 in my old highlander a few years back. Everything fits like stock, as they are made by the same company. The reception issue usually has to do with the small black wire that accompanies the two antenna cables, it needs a 12 volt source (or the amp control from the eclipse system) to turn on the amplifier for the antenna. At least thats how it went for my highlander.

hope this helps.

i did the install last night it was simple, the small black wire that accompanies the two antenna cables i plug into the addintional plug that came attached to the microphone wire that was on the nav unit is this right. in the instruction it didnt specify that anything should plug in it
