Great photos, thanks for posting this thread. IMO The roof rack lines really flow nicely with these vehicles. What length M8 1.25 bolts do you use to fasten this rack to the roof? 35mm, 40mm, 45mm or?

I agree, 35mm is what I used.

What are your thoughts on the powder coating? One of the other threads mentioned it wasn't great. Still love this rack.

Thank you for helping me, and the quick response. ECOTECHNE ROOF RACK mounting to the vehicle rooftop (A2 SS M8 x 1.25 x 35mm.) Qty-8. My roof rack will arrive within the next few days.

I like the look more than the Prinsu I ordered, though the Prinsu is probably more versatile and won't rust. I wish these were made from aluminum!

I completely agree with you. Wish it was made of aluminum, but I like that you don't have to drill with the ecotechne.

I like the look of this but how useful is it? It sounds like you buy this rack and then have the privilege of spending more time and money fabricating things so you can actually use it. :shrug:

I was thinking the same thing. From a functionality point, does the tray have a way to drain water if it rains or would someone just drill a few holes? I also wanted to get feedback if anybody is going to install an LED bar and what the game plan is as far as parts etc...

Not knocking the design, I'm just trying to see if getting one will meet my needs.

If you look at the pics...the tray has the logo cut in the bottom.

How can you guys not see the usefulness? Cross bars and trays can be moved for your intended uses. Mounting accessories is as easy as adding quick fists to where you need them. Add a RTT. Mount fuel cans, roto packs....I'm not understanding where a person can see how it isn't useful unless you need to be a total bolt on accessory kind of guy.

A lightbar would be as easy as buying a size to use the side bolts for the mount or drill into the wind deflector plate.

Not saying this the end all solution for everyone and if you want a gobi or Baja, go that route.

I wish they did it in aluminum too, but I'll take the added steel weight and recoating down the road for drilling more holes in my roof. Personal opinion. :usa2:

Is the the TFORCE package that was an option for SR5? I saw one at dealer and I liked the look. I have a Curtis basket with extension and it overlaps past the rails by a bit so I can get by without a full rack right now. The TFORCE stays on tho right? My basket gets taken off for mileage and noise concerns
