Rack on, sorry it was getting dark.

My neighbor thinks I need black hardware. I'll be pulling it off in the next year or so to re powder coat the rack. I will say that is one disappointment is the coating is thin and weak (was flaking off as we put it on). Not a deal breaker for the price and look though! Overall I am happy!

I do think I will order another cross brace. Also....did anyone have a hard time getting it to sit on the rubber trim in the front? One side is perfectly resting on it, the other will not move down.

Flaking off? the price is a good price but after spending on repowdercoating it really isn't at that point. very unfortunate to hear as I'm getting mine tomorrow

Some of the edges were worn from shipping. After seeing how thin it is, it wasn't surprising.


It only was coming off when tightening the hardware, which would happen with most powder coated items that you will grind off with the hardware, that part is unavoidable.


BUT, yes the PC is weak and won't last. That part blows but really...there is always a catch when you get a deal. I'm not complaining so don't get me wrong. If that part is the worst thing I deal with...


I know I've read about owners of more expensive racks have had similar PC issues for double the money.

Same. I touched up spots on the edges with some rattle can flat black. Just sprayed it on a paper plate and used a q-tip if that tells you how small the spots were.

Anybody thought about plasti-dip'n the hardware after installed instead of buying black hardware?

I've received a bunch of text about most of the racks shipping in today. As soon as they hit my front door I will start distributing the ones here in the west coast.
