It was a little disconcerting during the last group buy when I bought mine, and communications were slow, but it did all work out in the end. I know it sucks but try to be patient!

Also, he is not an employee or has no direct ties with the company as far as I can tell. He's just the guy who negotiates group buys with EcoTechne.

Other than communication being slow, I think everyone had their gear delivered satisfactorily.

I sent a payment yesterday 1/3/19 for a 5th GEN roof rack $750 plus $25 service fee

I also added the $40 cross bar and $80 tray to the total. PER ORIG POST.
SO total was $895.00

After sending I later received notice from RORCK via INSTAGRAM (best way to contact him) that the rack NOW comes with only 3 cross bar due to shipping cost.

FOR ANYONE THINKING ABOUT PURCHASING THIS RACK, IT ONLY COMES WITH 3 CROSS BAR AND NO TRAY. $750 SHIPPED

So Felipe is canceling and refunding me and I will have to re-purchase. I'm still waiting for cost for the extra Tray if anyone can confirm on recent purchase....I know it says $80/tray on original post but apparently the original post isn't accurate. thanks in advance guys.

Mynameis, your rack install and bolt guide is awesome. this will be useful when I get mine. About how long did it take from purchase date to delivery date?

So the trays are still available for purchase, but you are still waiting to hear back on the extra cost per tray, correct? So instead of getting 2 bars and 1 tray included, it defaults to 3 bars. It's possible that the costs per piece are still the same. So instead of paying $40 + $80, you may need to pay $80 + $80 (for a total of 3 bars and 2 trays). Bummer about the extra costs. Also it is tough to get good replies- sometimes I'd ask 3 questions and only get 1 or 2 answers back.

Thanks. Good luck with your install. From order to delivery of both crates took a little over a month. They may have streamlined the customs snafu since the last group buy, but who knows.

Correct I’m waiting for refund so I can resend the new payment .. I’m not sure if the trays are still $80/ea Ideally I want two trays when th rtt isn’t mounted.

Just want to confirm total with Felipe before I resend payment. Sigh.. still waiting for him to reply.

The GB is still on until Friday this week I think, you'll find more pictures of the rack, more info and better response from rorck_t4r on Instagram, look for the most recent GB post. (he's guy who facilitates these GB's + has a badass 4R).

Exactly what Deus Machina said... Find Rorck (Felipe) on instagram, he is a lot easier to contact there (either comment on a post or DM him etc.)

EcoTechne has a website but it's tough to navigate and doesn't really have options listed. There aren't many options anyway- this group buy comes with 3 crossbars and no trays for $750. Per a response on IG, trays are now $100 each.

Been trying to get a hold of ecotechne through email but no responses. even tried to call their business landline from google maps and call is not going through. I'm at a point where i'll probably have to make my own L brackets. Can anyone take some measurements of the brackets so i can get some made and can finally install the rack?

Not sure if you've seen the news but Venezuela is currently on its fifth day of a nearly complete power and water blackout. So that might have something to do with them being hard to get ahold of.

I don't have any measurements of the brackets, sorry! Maybe someone else can chime in.

Would anyone mind taking some measurements for the side rails ?

The 2nd package with my side rails have been in limbo for the longest time. They never sent me a tracking number for it, and have said they dropped off at FedEx a month ago and are waiting for a tracking number. Not sure how the FedEx works there, always thought they issue a tracking number once you drop off the goods. But anyway, I'd want to be able to fab the side rails myself in case it never does come.
