FWIW I test mounted a front bracket with the black knurled Allen head bolts I showed in my last post and it seems pretty solid. Hopefully you all will get the correct bolts with your rack like Rorck did and this will be a non-issue. To keep from further clogging up this group buy thread I'm going to try and make a separate thread this weekend with more details on my fix. I'll prob be doing the aluminum strip on all 4 brackets now that I've seen how much cleaner it looks. Even though nobody will ever see it. Considering the price, I'm still super happy with this rack. Thanks again to Rorck for putting this on.

Sorry guys, I got a litte busy this evening. I'm not sure why some of the racks didn't come with that hardware so ill definitely contact the company tomorrow to see what happened. The bolts that I got where Allen bolts. And they worked great! Here is where I placed the washer to raise the brackets.

Yes, the racks began shipping out. you guys should start seeng text from DHL starting to come in through the week.
Finished install today. I like the end result and it's very solid and sturdy. I stood on the back tray and crossbars with no issues and had to work to get a slight flex when putting all my weight on the very front (where there are no support bases). Plenty of points to secure various equipment as well...which was one of my concerns. A few points:
- was missing the hardware to attach mounts to truck. OEM worked in the back with some washer trickery and for the front I had to use the Allen head type bolt pictured earlier in the thread with some washers.
-Also had some pretty gnarly dents in the corner of the trays from DHL (I blame them bc it was packaged very well). I straightened them out and had to repaint where the powder coat chipped off. Flat black matches fine.
-The tray only lines up with the pre drilled holes in the Aft spot and front spot...I planned on doing 2 trays in the back but didn't want to drill out new holes so went with my current config.
-missing 2 x bolts and hardware for the crossbar (hence why I temporarily have them next to each other sharing the mid bolt until I can pick something up)
- did the install solo, don't tighten anything down until you have it all in place.

Looks awesome!!!! I'm very sorry about the hardware situation. As soon as I get messages from all people that where missing hardware I'll give them the list and I'll make sure they send what was missing.
To all that didn't not receive the correct hardware, PLEASE pm me. Even if your rack is on I will make sure you get the right amount of bolts and or washers. The company is really good about making sure everyone is happy and they are now aware of the missing hardware. They are ready to send what was missing.

Still need to get bolts fitted correctly. Used oem and need to make brace. Love the rack. Different from any others in area. I'm gonna order more crossbars next gb.

You should be getting yours Wednesday or Thursday. The rear of the rack and hardware didn't show up until Thursday so that backed things up a bit. I know everyone here in the west coast is eager and I apologize, this is the first time the company does a batch of racks and my first time doing a group buy. You should be getting a email from FedEx any time now if you haven't received it yet.

For you guys that have your racks already, I was going over the install and I notice that these brackets don't cover the entire opening shown above. In comparison to the brackets for example, "Baja rack", they're brackets cover the entire opening, it covers the whole thing up and over to the rubber strip. here are some pics from an install on youtube. could this be a problem for water leaks? does anyone see a problem with this? thanks for your input.

As long as you use silicon you'll be fine. I applied silicon on mine and have not had any leaks with all this bad weather we've had here in norther California. My rig also sits outside, it doesn't fit in my garage...
I would imagine some silicone is a good idea with that Baja mount as well. Here's how I installed mine.
Put a good bead of silicone around that white plastic sleeve sticking up out of the roof bolt holes. Found these thin rubber washers at lowes and trimmed to fit down in the track. Also hit the bottom of washers with silicone:
Added a little silicone with the mount in place:
Used washers that have a rubber bottom in between the bolt and the aluminum strips I rigged up. Red loctite on the bolts to seal threads:

Someone needs to do some mods to their garage. :wink2: Mine sits outside too, 24/7 - motorcycles got dibs on my garage.
