Ecotechne roof rack GROUP BUY!!!

Because of the delay Ecotechne had with the hardware the shipped without the boxes. They didn’t want to have everyone wait any longer.

I think for the most part all Shipping companies are bad but I’ve had better luck with FedEx(knock on wood). I've had some horrible experiences with UPS damaging expensive goods and loosing packages... and even though I had purchase insurance they never did refund me anything.

aaaahhh OK. wasn't sure so i just wanted to mention it. The boxes look pretty bada$$ but its no big deal to me. I was just expecting one, but i DONT need one. would make for a pretty slick wood pharmaceutical box though :hippie: eep:

Ok. I managed to get this completed yesterday. Over all, and from a distance, it flows well with the truck. But both side rails have horribly uneven cuts along the lower edge. And my attachment L pieces needed some TLC from a hammer and my vice to achieve the proper angle. If I'd seen this kind of work before purchase, I probably wouldn't have made the purchase.

Also, there is a fair increase in wind noise but what does one expect with 80lbs of angled steel on the roof?

This isn't meant to be a ***** fest on the rack. But I feel that it is more than fair to point out the shortcomings along with it's strengths.

I'm going to make sure and they hear about this. I expressed my concern with the L brackets as it looks like they got sloppy again with a set they shipped out to a member. The owner felt bad and thanked us for the feed back. I'll make sure he gets these photos. I'll make sure he looks at every single rack before shipping to make sure he has good quality control. Ok, speaking with Ecotechne right now and they are extremely sorry. They Are assuring that they will look into it and clean everything up. This is unacceptable.

I keep lurking on this thread. I love the look of this rack. So much so, that I won't buy any other. But the QC issues are preventing me from buying. I'm glad to hear that Rorck is in touch with ecotechne and that they are looking into it.

Please post as you see QC improve (or not). And keep posting pics! They really look great.

Now, if they'd fix the QC issues AND build this out of aluminum...

My apologies, I’m at work trying to reply.

1. Replacement parts will be provided by Ecotechne.

2. They would try and ship asap.

3. They would send a return shipping label free of charge.

Like I mentioned before, this company has great ethics and they want to grow to be a great source for the US market. They welcome all feedback and will be fixing what is brought to their attention.
