Received my rack last week and was able to get it on without any issues. Figured I would add my two cents. I hope you are getting a decent little cut from organizing this especially with some of the members you have to & will eventually have to deal with... can definitely see that as NOT being a fun part of organizing this haha.

I have absolutely 0 experience installing roof racks but everything went smoothly and I still would rate it as easier than putting together an IKEA bed. Read through the thread and followed everyone's tips and tricks. I laid out all the pieces on my lawn and lightly bolted (as in just literally putting bolt and nut together and hand tighten) together the four frame pieces. Used auto/marine silicone sealant & bolted down the 4 L pieces tight. Then lastly was able to throw the rack up with help from the wife & a blanket on the roof-- everything lined up as you start to tighten the pieces together, just as you said it would. I started with rear brace, front brace (yes, through the moonroof and with assistance), then lastly the side pieces to the L brackets.

Love the look of the rack. Yes, other people's comments are correct with some minor things such as the cut outs for their branding being rough on some pieces, minor powder coat scuff marks from shipping. Still waiting on my stainless steel black hardware to finish getting the blacked out look I want. But for $700 shipped from Venezuela, this is a great deal on a full roof rack and if you don't feel comfortable with a little DIY or imperfections, should definitely just go spend twice on a different option? But for me, this was a perfect solution at a great price point. Thanks Rorck!

Also, ensure you position the tray on the roof prior to putting the frame of the roof rack on. I had to loosen up the pieces again to get the tray to fit, couldn't angle it in like you can with the crossbars. Needed to drill two holes for the tray as well.

I've been in your shoes before, leading a group buy for a large order internationally on another forum. I understand how much time and effort it takes. So, cheers to you for all your doing in keeping this thing heading straight and keeping those folks aware of our concerns/comments. :thumb:

The way I balanced the look of my rack side to side and front sides is that I put extra spacers UNDER the low side of the roof mounting brackets for a better adjustment angle. Then I used the slots on the bracket to for the final adjustments. I have added about 500 miles or so of driving with the new rack installed, including driving on the 215 beltway almost every day through all those high wind storms we have been having, and this rack is great! I will help you with adjusting your roof rack if needed. Cheers

Ecotechne has assured me the issues will be fixed. They want to release the best possible product and the CEO of that company will make sure to go through the production line and make sure everything is to par.
