have the people using the black oxide mounting hardware had any rust issues? I think the black hardware looks much better than silver. Is the general consensus to use the black oxide or spray paint the included hardware? TIA

Yakima RTT on Ecotechne Rack

Picked up the Yakima Rooftop Tent today and it works well with the roof rack.

Just an update. I was number 2 in the group 7 buy. The rack shipped 2 weeks ago and has been stuck in Miami customs since last Saturday (8 days) with no movement... Roark, is there anything that I can do?

Relax and have a beer.

Rorck cannot tell US customs to do their job faster. We all went through it, and I know that itch to just get the hardware, but you have to be patient.

Can you post some pics of the installed rack? Front fairing, cross bars and tray? Curious to see the new design. The video quality was not that great of the new design.

I have the Yakima cargo box and it has the same "feet" as my Yakima RTT so you should have no problem attaching it to the cross bars.

ALL SHIPMENTS TO OR FROM VENEZUELA HAVE BEEN HALTED AND WILL NOT BE DELIVERED UNTIL THE FREEZE IS CLEARED BY THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT.

I also have no rust issues with my Stainless Steel Black Oxide Hardware, and I have the same hardware as quicksandTRDPRO.

Thank goodness, I ordered 2 packs each of bolts, washers and nuts. Got me worried there for a minute.
