Got my rack

I was notified today at the shop that my rack arrived. For all those wondering, I'm #1 in Group 8. I haven't even unwrapped the damn thing yet, but I'm already setting it up for a new powder coat based on everyone's review.

For those wondering, I never received shipping notification or anything regarding the rack. It was just a "SURPRISE, I'M HERE!" kinda situation. I think I should technically be a "Gen 2" rack recipient given the fact that I'm group 8, right? Rorck, can you confirm? I see Group 7 people getting Gen 2s so I'm excited!

As soon as I have time, I'll get it installed and show some pics! Now time for a lightbar... anyone with suggestions please let me know. I wanna be the sun in the night!

Just a heads up to those who purchased the ladder, you'll might want to consider upgrading your lift shocks for the extra weight.

Honestly the ladder is awesome and well built! Worth getting, especially with the bottle opener attached got me sold haha! Can't wait to see pictures

I was looking at this very same mod for mine if the wind noise is an issue. I agree that it looks just a little on the thick side and takes away from the sleekness. That all said, it's not horrible looking. ...and I agree, thanks for testing it out and sharing.

Thanks for trying this out. This is going to drive me nuts until I figure out a fix though. I already have re-powder coating lined up based on some of the feedback around the powder coating. Maybe something can be done to lessen the gap with heat shrink.

What size hardware (black) do we need on the V2 rack?


I purchased and returned hardware to www.albanycountyfasteners.com that was recommended for the V1 rack. Now I need to order the correct size for V2. P.S. I'm in the 8th batch and had my rack delivered last week unexpectedly.
