Interesting, I emailed them two weeks ago when I thought the GB had ended and they wanted $850 shipped just for the rack. This GB was $100 cheaper.

Got my RTT mounted today on my ecotechne rack. Ho Lee Shit my RTT is big. Took the entire rack, front to back. I was able to mount it flush too without flipping the crossbars upside down!

They started shipping out Thursday, you guys should start getting confirmation once they leave customs.

The price here went from $700 to $750 because of shipping inflation and these prices have always been shipped to your door. I do post on Facebook and Instagram to get the list filled up Fast so members don’t have to wait but it’s not at $850...

i second this. i am getting my rack this week and want to get my cvt mt shasta mounted as low as possible.

The only reason I was able to get mine to work without flipping the crossbars was because A) I have a sunroof and B) this tent takes up the entire roof.

On my rack, I have three crossbars and I am not using the tray. I was able to attach tent to The front most crossbar and the rear most crossbar. Rear is accessible by removing the rear fairing of the rack that says Ecotechne. The front I could secure by opening the sunroof and tightening from within the cabin

I think for me personally the group buy was worth it for reasons beyond price. Rorck has set up 9 other successful group buys has built a relationship with the owner of ecotechne who are located in Venezuela.He's quick to answer questions and doesn't hesitate to go back to ecotechne with issues on damaged products. Made it a no brainer for me.

Thanks for trying this out. This is going to drive me nuts until I figure out a fix though. I already have re-powder coating lined up based on some of the feedback around the powder coating. Maybe something can be done to lessen the gap with heat shrink.

I was thinking of cutting an aluminum sheet that would be the same width size of the front fairing but not as tall and bolting it using the existing bolt holes and using strong double sided tape. It would go underneath the front fairing and stick out below the gap based on preference. Spray paint black and it would match. (I got the rack bare metal.) It would have the same cut shape as the front fairing and it could lessen the gap. It would have a "step" appearance, however.

Or a aluminum sheet could be cut to the same width size and shape as the front fairing, but bolt it on top and use strong double sided tape and make it a little taller to cut the gap. There would be custom cuts around the side rails, but it might be doable.

i received my rack today. just like others have said it was packaged very well. 2 small spots where the powder coat was scratched off but not a big deal. very impressed with the construction of the rack overall.

what i do have a question about is mounting it on the 3rd gen 4runner. anyone in this group have a 3rd gen with it mounted? the instructions on page 1 are great! however they are only for the 5th gen

these look like the same mounts used on the 5th gen. how do they work on the 3rd? also i thought they had a bracket to attach near the doors in the front?
if so i did not receive the bracket
