SOLD!! For those of you who does not want to wait in another group buy, im selling my rack for the price i paid. Everything is wrapped in original packaging, and i never open it. I decided to save a little more and get a gobi rack plus i just had my first baby. Super busy! The rack is LOCAL PICK UP IN SEATTLE ONLY.

jig saw. it was a bit rough, but the edge seal covered it. you can see a chip on driver's side. it worked on my first try, and since you get 2 sheets I think one of the 2 will come out OK. It was over 100 here yesterday, and there was a slight seperation with the heat, not as bad as the 3/32 plastic, but there. some extra 3m tape should correct it, or maybe a few of the black bolts I used for the rest of the rack with fender washers to hold it strong onto the fairing. Ill post a few pics when I have time to add that.

Is anyone else's hardware rusting? I've had this rack on for maybe 3 weeks. I just assumed it was stainless.

thats some insane rust.. looks like they are plain steel, uncoated?
Having the same problems with rust on the bolts as well. One trip down to the coast camping on the beach and already developing rust. Had planned up front to replace the hardware it came with, with black bolts so will be doing that this weekend. Just didn't think it would rust this quickly.
Where did you plan on getting the bolts? I'm going to give thesw folks a call in a little while, it loos like you can get black coated stainless bolts.
I was also looking for some socket head cap screws in black chrome.
Before I go out and measure all these bolts, does anyone have the dimensions of them already written down they'd like to share with the class..?

I'm not sure if the bolts have changed between v1 and v2 think someone else will have to weigh in on that.

Those are what I bought for my V2 rack and they fit. The wife took the truck to work today and I can post pictures later this evening if needed.
