Where did you plan on getting the bolts? I'm going to give thesw folks a call in a little while, it loos like you can get black coated stainless bolts.

I was also looking for some socket head cap screws in black chrome.

Before I go out and measure all these bolts, does anyone have the dimensions of them already written down they'd like to share with the class..?

I was in Group Buy 9 and received mine Wednesday Aug-13. Installed (mostly) yesterday. After reading this thread, I wasn't expecting perfection. Overall, not too bad, though some trial an error figuring out the install sequence and keeping things loose because the parts don't easily align.

Biggest issue are the fasteners. Missing one of the M10 bolts, 3 of the M8 and the washers don't work on most of the fastening points (washer is for bigger bolt and not wide enough).

I like the look of the black dome fasteners, though I'm unsure which to get. This post (#258) appears to point to a US fastener, not metric. Am I reading this wrong? Do I need 18-8 grade SS?

I saw earlier posts where all the fasteners came in a wooden box - did they discontinue that? I only had one size washer for all the bolts, which didn't work.

Need to order the new fasteners today so the rack is ready for my trek to the Eclipse path next weekend.

[MENTION=109477]Rorck[/MENTION] I think you or Ecotechne better start answering these inquiries about eta's on the roof racks. Doesn't look good when people from group 8 haven't received or heard anything about theirs while group 9 is receiving theirs. Ecotechne has taken our money but have not responded lately as to what is going on.
Personally I'm in group 8 and I'd like some kind of answer.

I took the entire rack off to put some rubber gaskets and silicone at the mount points from what I saw on this thread. I'll reassemble once I receive the fasteners.

Sorry guys, was out camping, came back yesterday to batches 8 and 9. Finished wrapping up 8 with will go out Tuesday and will work on 9 which will go out Wednesday.

Has anyone received ladders? 10 will start going out tomorrow from what I was told last week.

No one has received ladders. Have you gotten any info from ecotechne as to whether they’ve shipped? Not having the ladder is one thing but not getting any updates for weeks at a time despite being told they shipped over a month ago is ridiculous. Did they or did they not ship? And with the current state of things occurring in Venezuela, if we never get the ladders, how do we get our money back?

Just talked to them and they supposedly did ship some, the others had some problems with DHL because DHL is only shipping certain sizes. For some reason the ones to Hawaii made it but none to the mainland. They assured me that they would ship no later than today, even if it was with FedEx.

Was just contacted by Ecotechne and to get things moving, they sent ladders through FedEx. They will input Tracking numbers tomorrow to send off on the email that was provided. I hope everything goes smoothly from here because I haven't even been able to sleep.lol

For the second version from batch 8 basic rack(via DrewJoseph), I have this hardware:

A) 9 x hex/allen drive w/small washer, no nut (M8x1.25x30mm)
B) 8 x hex/allen drive + 2 washers + nylock nut (3/8-16x1-1/4")
C) 18 x bolt + 2 washers + nylock nut (M8x1.25x30mm)

From photos, it would appear that A is being used to mount the brackets to the roof, B is used to mount the sides to the roof brackets, and C is used for everything else. Are these what others are getting/replacing with black hardware? I noticed that first batchers had M10x1.5mmx30mm as the bracket to roof bolts, so I want to be sure I'm buying the right stuff since local shops aren't carrying them

I used Socket Head Screws A2 SS-M8 x 1.25 x 35M for Roof Rack Bracket to Roof Top attachment ( QTY 8) . M8 x 1.25 is the proper fit into the roof. I had no need for black Screws in this location. (I used THREAD LOCKER on the threads as seen on the OEM Screw location).

FYI- Just received email with DHL tracking info for my ladder from ecotechne. Tracking shows "shipment info received" status on august 4th but no other event details or ETA.

I also received an email from Ecotechne it contained a shipping number via DHL, not FedEx, and this is the search result. Not sure why everyone's status is shipment info received on 08/04/17 and no more info after that. Looks like it hasn't progressed much in the past 2 weeks but we are just now receiving the tracking info. If this is the latest, I doubt we will be seeing it anytime soon.

Ladder measurement request

Hey all,

I'm pretty sure there's nobody on this thread that has actually received their ladders, but I'ma gonna ask anyway:

I'm trying to determine compatibility for clearance with a swingarm on a rear bumper. Any way we can get measurements on the protrusion of the ladder from the rear liftgate?

A comparison with a Gobi ladder would be great, too.
