Educate me please

Folks,
Advance apologies for behaving noobishly and asking instead of searching. But I am kind of in a rush and need a quick crash course. Hoping someone can chime in. Looking to trade my 09 Taco V6 4x4 on a previous gen 4Runner. Going to dealers today to see what they have. Some quick questions:

• I am thinking I want the V8. Any big reasons not to get it? Any known issues with that motor?
• I barely get 16 mpg on my Taco with my mods so I am not worried about gas mileage. But roughly what can I expect with the 4Runner V8?
• Any generational flaws that I should make sure have been addressed? Such as TSBs, recalls, major maintenance etc.?
• I regularly tow 2-3 motorcycles with my Taco (2-2500 lbs), how does the 4Runner compare on towing capacity?

(1) bulletproof drivetrain. can be prone to exhaust mani cracks, big $$$
(2) should be able to get 17-18 mpg
(3) xreas sucks if it leaks LOL. See above for exh mani
(4) should be able to tow 5-7k pounds

just an added maintance over the V6: timing belt change every 100,000miles or 7 years.

with 33's I'm seeing 15-16 so you'll be about the same as your taco unless you regear for larger tires

xreas does kinda blow for off-road; however, provides a great ride on road (only thing i noticed is little body roll when towing.)

on that note: I love my V8,

due note that the V8 4wd is full time AWD with a 4 low option. The V6 4wd gives you the options of 2hi 4hi and 4lo
