Efing Jaguars

Maybe not only jaguars, but in my situation it was a a jag.

So, my question is this. Does every car spit like a gallon of gas out of its exhaust pipes when you stomp on the accelerator? And in addition to that question, when the gas spit up onto my car, will it damage the paint?

I hate fords.

Well, what you had spit up onto your vehicle was water and exhaust soot. For the most part, all the fuel not combusted in the chamber is burnt up as it passes the cat.

Good. I mean picture the look on my face when the windshied gets covered in whatever came out of the pipes. Regardless, it is time to get it washed anyway

Yeah, I'd definitely get it washed off, but with a good coat of wax on her... you are fine.

Its amazing the amount of water that does accumulate in the muffler.

Totally. I mean as soon as he stomped it it not only came out of the pipe in a steady stream, but it also coated the front of the car. Even when he wasn't aggresive on the gas it was still spewing out. Never saw it like that before.

get it washed immediately, and you should be fine. shoulda cut him off and gave him a big wiff of the ol' sulfer smell.

all modern vehicles do that, even the 4Runner. Water and carbon is a by-product of the combustion process in the engine. The muffler cools the exhaust to the point where the water vapor actually becomes water drops. If you punch the accelerator the increased flow pushes out all that accumulated water in the muffler.

Road salt and sand is worse for your paint that that stuff.. That being said, get it washed and waxed for the spring anyway.

The T4R definitely also does it. Check the accumulation of water in your resonator ("watermelon"). That's another reason I got it cut off when I turned the exhaust out to the side.
