okay, so i have a 90 3vze 4runner and have had it for about 10 years, driving off and on. Ever since i bought the car, i noticed the place for the EGR temperature sensor has been empty, meaning the sensor hasn't been there. i wasn't sure before i did research if anything actually went there. and when i found out something was missing installed a temperature sensor. I haven't started the engine since then so i can't comment if it made a difference in the engine performance. The engine has never really ran 100%, with 190,000 miles on it, but my question is whether installing the temperature sensor could make it run better?
