Eibach Pro-truck lift

I read all 50+ pages, and it looks like nimby is the only one on here that mentioned he is running the shocks on factory coils front and rear.

If I just wanted the shocks for now to level and help eliminate braking nosedive, I could add the rest of the kit at later time, right? I'm sure it's more cost-effective to just go with the whole kit, but I'm not really concerned with lifting as much as leveling.

I could be misremembering, but it seems like the Eibach shocks might be a bit nicer (subjective, I know) ride quality than a Bilstein 5100 or 6112 as well?

Thanks for any input.

Travis

Hi Travis,

When we launched our off-road product line we started with shocks only. We used a couple of my buddies rigs for R&D and I can confirm they rode really well with the factory springs.

I have the eibach shocks with factory springs on the front. I would have bought new springs if they had shorter ones available. I’ve had no problems or regrets with using the factory springs. All the benefits of the kit but the height I wanted. I also got the 4th gen rear springs, they have me around 3/4” instead 1” plus.

So I got the lift installed @ Eibach.. great staff and Wanda at the counter made the 4 hours go by so fast.

I've got the 3rd row, so the fronts were set at the first notch. I was able to fit the SCS SR8's with 285/70 Falken Wildpeaks with only slight trimming of the bumper. It sometimes rubs the mudflaps on reverse at full turn.

Supposed to make DIY install easier.
My truck is new so they were not needed and I had a company that specializes in lifts install the kit for me.

I think it goes faster without replacing the "hats" of course if they are worn then it's a good time to do them. Go back 30-40 pages, I did a quick write up on how to do the install leaving the "hats" in place.

That's awesome to hear. Factory 4th gen rear springs? Can you PM me a larger photo or some more if you have them? And are you running factory size tire?

Still rides great for me tr4vrunner.

I'm on the 1.6" setting in the front with stock coils. In the rear, I still have stock shocks and coils. It's really close to level, but still have a small amount of factory rake with it being 1/4" higher in the rear.

I'm also running 285/70/17 Firestone Destination A/T's. Since the lift in the front is mild, my alignment place was able to push the caster up to 4* so I wouldn't rub on the mudflap or body mount. The higher caster also makes it track down the freeway really nice. I did have to trim the front fender very slightly and push the fender liner forward. It was extremely easy and I have zero rubbing or tire clearance issues.

Hope this helps.

I have the Eibach rear spring from the 4th gen kit. I wanted to lose half my rake, not all of it. I have 265 bfg. I originally planned on getting the cooper at in 275 but they discontinued the 6 ply version.

Thanks!

It looks great and sounds like what I’m looking for. I don’t need perfectly level, but definitely don’t want nose-high.

Cross posting this from the New Falken AT tire (A/T3W) thread.

I had 265/70R17 Falken Wildpeak A/T3W tires put on my truck day 1.

I've been tracking my mileage since putting on the Eibach Lift (July 25th, 2019). This includes the 200lbs of winch, winch bumper, and skid plate.

Past 4 fill ups - hand calculated MPG:
17.98 mpg
20 mpg
18.3 mpg
18.73 mpg

Average MPG = 18.75

I live in the Ozarks of Southern Missouri so 2 lane roads, with lots of hills and curves, but little traffic. Nearest stoplight is 30 miles from my house.

Yours looks good. Those actually look bigger than 265s on there too.

Thanks,

this was definitely the issue and even after I pointed this out they tried telling me I just needed to put a spacer in the back to level it out =/. They just didn't want to redo the fronts again. Needless to say I don't trust this shop now and got everything back which looks good except now I get rubbing on the driver side on the rear frame when the wheel is turned all the way (mud flaps have been removed). Passenger side is close, but clears. Is this normal? Running 285/70/17 Wildpeak AT3's and a -12 offset on A 17X9 wheel and haven't seen anyone mentioning having to do a body chop for 285s after a lift.

uh 9" wide and -12mm you're gonna have rubbing issues. wheel spec plays as big of a role (roll lolol:bravo:) for tire fitments.

Will I have negative rake with the Eibach Pro kit based on my current specs?

Pre-lift measurements on my ‘18 SR5P 4x4:
LF 19.75”
RF 20”
LR 21.25”
RR 21.5”

Left lean = .25” F+R
Rake = 1.5” L+R

I got it figured out. The issue was it was rubbing on the rear frame and I don't want a body chop, but after having the casters moved to 4 degrees I got minor rubbing upfront at full lock which is no big deal to trim.

I installed the lift a few moths back, one of the only pics i have to date. 265 Toyo's with JBA control arms. Couldn't be happier with my choice.

Anyone heard or bought from this seller?

Looks pretty sketchy with the crappy description and poor grammar but they have a bunch of feedback from the last month and you're pretty protected through ebay. Says they accept paypal too which is another level of protection if things go south. Super good price. If you don't get it I might take a stab at it... :rip:
