Installed the Kit last week with my 11 yr old son. I really enjoy the new setup, A big thanks to this forum for all the information that is available.

2nd notch, 285/70's on Icon wheels. I had to move the fender liner forward and trim the bumper cover a bit.

Here is a photo of my rig. This kit rides smooth ..dont feel the bumps, body roll is gone, nose dive is almost gone, the ride looks leveled. This is truly how Toyota should deliver these cars to begin with.. I feel the brakes more responsive too even with heavier off-road tires on. The infamous vibration at 60mph is gone too. The tires are KO2 275/70/17 on Raceline Clutch wheels. This is such an awesome lift kit.. I am very glad I went with this setup.

However, now you "need" a TRD or other brand skid plate.

I kinda wished I bought this Arb skid plate set instead of the Toyota TRD Skid plate.

Added weight and a PITA when doing maintenance. Face it 80% of these station wagons will never see that technical of a trail.

Well since you just added a lift kit what percentage grouping do you place yourself in?

I've been overseas contracting for the last 10 years. Spent 5 years in Iraq and recently 5 years in Djibouti Africa.

I frequently tow a boat behind my rig. Should I look into a stiffer spring than what comes with the kit? Or are the springs stiff enough to not have excessive sag?

I tow every once in a while and it sags. It's just the nature of the beast. I'd rather sag when I tow than have a stiff spring 95% of the time without the trailer.

Ryan. Still toying with different setups while I sort my money out. Maybe you can offer some insight.

Really liked the post where the guy had the 1.5" wheelers t13 spring in the rear but I understand he is stressing the rear struts at max travel.


I offroad a lot and would like a bit more lift then 1" in the rear. Thinking about piecing something together using 5100 struts and eibach/wheeler springs.

My question is, with the PRO-LIFT PERFORMANCE FRONT COILS (E30-82-071-01-20) 2.75", will i still get 2.75" of lift if I install them on 5100's?

Not used to lifting vehicles so maybe that's a question with an obvious answer of yes dumb dumb. If so then I'll prob just pair them with the wheelers T13. Thanks.

I think you'd get about the same amount of lift.

How did he figure out he was maxing out the rear shocks? The Bilstein units are probably the same length as ours.

I'm currently at 1.5" and all is good.

Going Eibach Pro + WT13 after all.

Don’t be surprised if you install the Wheeler T-13 and get about the same 1” of lift the Eibach rear spring does. The new Wheeler T-13 springs I got were the exact same length when held side by side to the Eibach Pro kit rear springs and gave the same 1” lift even though they stated 1.5” lift. Only visible difference on mine was the Wheeler T-13 are powdercoated black instead of Eibach silver. It was a waste of time and money and I ended up selling my Wheeler T-13s here on the forum and went back to the Eibach springs the kit came with. All is good now and I am happy with it. YMMV of course.
