Electric Fans on 4runner

Thinking about getting rid of the clutch fan and installing an electric fan. Has anyone done this and if so what donor was the fan from. I have gotten a few in the past from the older Ford taurus when I did the swap on my 5.0's. They work good and pull alot of cfm's. Just didnt know if anyone had goten one from a newer 4runner or toyota car that worked well or not. Thanks

Does the one you got from Autozone have a full shroud or just one arond the fan. I can get the fans from a early 90's taurus all day long for around 25 bucks or so. They flow better that the aftermarket ones also. Was trying to find the measurements on the fan and shroud to see how well it would work on the radiator. Just looking for other possibilities also. Can you post up a pic of yours. Do you have yours wired to s temp switch, toggle switch or to a key on source.

Just around the fan, dont know about flow, but it works. I have the 19 incher, it was like 85 bucks. I wired it to a GM AC relay to key power at the coil. That way it only comes on when the key is (on) not (acc). No pics at the moment.
