Kurtis, where is this circuit located?

Normally folks just booty fab it into the tail lights. You need to use a multimeter and check for a short on your flat 4 trailer connection IF you have one.

Normally folks just booty fab it into the tail lights. You need to use a multimeter and check for a short on your flat 4 trailer connection IF you have one.

Well, turns out you were right. It looks like two of the wires had melted together or corroded and were touching right where they meet the trailer plug. It was about as simple as things get. And yet I have almost every interior panel removed from the 4runner right now and have traced the wires literally from front to rear turn signals. I know, that just goes to show my ignorace on electrical stuff. Ive spent hours and hours on this, and about $40. But I learned quite a bit over the past few weeks.
