Electrical Issue ?

Hey guys !

The truck in question is a 2004 4runner Sport V6

The truck DID come from factory with the DRL's

Recently, the DRL lights stopped working, and three middle climate control knob lights stopped working at the same time

I noticed the DRL's stopped working when that green light by the RPM Gauge was no longer on anymore.

I understand that the DRL just run off a relay, is there also a fuse for them?

Also I mentioned that the three round climate control knob lights aren't working. The bulbs are still good and I even swapped my climate control with a friend who has an 05 and the 3 round knob lights still wouldn't work. Its weird because the screen lights up , the little orange aarows light up its just the 3 big knobs and the reset and mode lights wont work.

These have any relation with DRL's going out ?


This all happened randomly, at once. Iv'e been trying to get to the bottom of this but I cant figure it out. I want my DRL's back and my climate control lights to work.

Any help and input would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like a strange coincidence. 4runner drl's are notorious for frying sockets. My drl sockets had to be replaced at 80k miles. They run hot and they are running all of the time. I had to splice in new sockets and installed led bulbs as they run way cooler and brighter!

thanks for the input, the issue im having isn't with the bulbs being burnt though.
