Ellis Precision Battery Clamps

[Ellis Precision]

These fit a variety of Toyota vehicles.

The anodizing both protects the clamp from corroding and being an underhood ugly, AND it acts as an insulator! You can drop these clamps across the posts, and nothing happens!

If your battery has fill caps, you want a UNIVERSAL clamp.

If your battery is flat topped, you want an OPTIMA clamp.

Both clamps are precision machined with a 200mm post to post distance, and a 173mm notch.

These fit many years of 4Runners, but it wouldn't hurt to throw a tape measure on your battery and clamp down posts to confirm before ordering. Some odd size aftermarket batteries may not be compatible with our clamps!

Okay, you got me again with these group buys... I'm about to order one but wanted your opinion on what would look/work best here. I recently ordered a new battery from the Northstar group buy on this forum, would the "Optima" style clamp work with the Northstar 24F (NSB-AGM-24F Battery*| NorthStar Battery )? Also, would you be able to engrave this picture onto the clamp (and what color would look best... pewter? Black?):

Hey Joel, long story short... I couldn't wait. I saw that "1 left" sign and just snagged it up, so hopefully I'm correct in thinking that the Optima style will be the correct one for the Northstar battery I linked to above. I looked through the pictures on your website gallery and thought the black looked extra awesome; if you can engrave the above picture that would be fantastic. Thanks again.

Yes, the Optima battery clamp fits a variety of "flat top" batteries, and should snug that NorthStar down just fine!

I have a 3rd gen as well. On mine, one side of the battery clamp bolts to the radiator support, so it can't use a clamp like this that is designed for double j-hooks like the 4th and 5th gen 4Runners.

It isn't the highest res image to work with, but once converted for the laser, this is what I got.

I have a 3rd gen as well. On mine, one side of the battery clamp bolts to the radiator support, so it can't use a clamp like this that is designed for double j-hooks like the 4th and 5th gen 4Runners.

Mine is a 3rd gen. Didn't even realize the difference. Will it still work?
