I'm going to re-crunch the numbers with what we have. As long as I am not losing money, I would like to see this succeed.

This is the first completed frame. Made a couple small toolpath tweaks to make the 2nd side (backsides were all machined first, frontside is machined last) even that much better.
They are incredibly lightweight!
I'm quite pleased with the "etchable" space as well.
4 tab frames are still a potential option for the future, but seeing this around one of my wife's plates solidified the fact that the slimline frame meets my neat and clean design intent. Unfortunately, I won't be making modifications to the profile because neat and clean is the way Ellis Precision does things.
If you need something bolder for the people behind you to read, get a sticker!

I like the recessed tabs. Will the milling marks on the plate face disappear with anodizing?

They won't disappear but they certainly become harder to see once plated.
Most of our products get brushed by hand, but I am trying to leave these as machined before anodizing as the finish is really nice and the milling marks are their own sort of radial brushing.
