elocker and non elocker gear compatibilty

Hi folks,

I installed a new rear on my 4runner with an elocker recently, however the locker has a different gear ratio than my previous rear end and front diff.

Would it be possibe for me to take the two rear diffs to a shop and have them swap in my existing ring and pinion into my locking diff? Are they compatible?

The ring and pinion are specific for the toyota 8", not for locked vs unlocked. So yes, you should be good to swap.

Have you considered just replacing your front diff with one with a ratio to match your new rear? Might be a little easier.
