Elocker rebuild, hesitant to try

So, my 2013 TE elocker is not engaging. The switch comes on, blinks, motor runs, tried all the techniques to engage it but nothing works.

I've read several links on doing the rebuild but don't feel confident I can tackle it. Can't risk it going wrong as it's my main ride.

Can anyone help me do it? I can come to you, pretty much anywhere in New England. I live in Boston, often go to Providence and the Cape but, again, am willing to travel.

Any other help or advice appreciated.

How often do you need to use an axle lock in Boston?

You can pop the motor off the axle housing with, IIRC 2 bolts. At that point you can observe and test the motor function and also move the actual locker collar to see if there is a problem there.

Has the 3rd member or locker motor ever been removed from the axle housing before? I had the same problem when I installed my 4.56 gears, the locker wasn't all the way open when I installed the motor assembly and wouldn't engage. I had to remove the motor and move the mechanism to fully open with a screw driver, reinstalled the motor, then everything worked fine.

I don't think there has ever been work done there. Brought it to someone, they removed the motor, tested all electrics and that. Wiring is fine, as I said above the motor makes a sound. But the gear doesn't turn. So, the issue's inside the motor.

I guess I wouldn't mind finding a used one to swap in and then take my time rebuilding mine.
