eLocker Wiring

Hi guys,

Need a little help. Grabbed an elocker/axle off a '99. I'm swapping it into my '98. I had Zuk go through the gears. Wish I had brought the actuator with it. Anywhooooo, This has 3 plugs as one can see in the picture. There also appears to be a plug missing.

I don't believe my truck came pre-wired for an elocker. So i bought the Dark Illusions wiring harness. Looks well made. With that in mind

1. What are each of these existing plugs for and what do they connect to?
Red:
Green:
Yellow:
Blue:

2. What do i need to repair the missing (Green) plug, if needed? Do these have a particular name? Should i get it oem? p/n?

3. The second picture is the Dark Illusions wiring harness. It appears the brown plug goes to the yellow connector. What about the purple one?

4. While I have this actuator out, other than testing it, what else would you replace or service? (update: for those wanting to replace the o-ring on the actuator the p/n is 90301-20005)

I'm not really sure how to get started. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I've been dragging my heals on this. Need to get going!

UPDATE.

I feel a bit stupid (understatement). For anyone else new to this, here's what I found. I don't need any of the other plugs on the diff actuator (ie, blue, red, green circles). I'D STILL LOVE TO KNOW WHAT EACH IS FOR if anyone cares to chime in.

The (yellow outline) connector is to activate/deactivate the locker. The other plug (purple outline) attaches directly to the differential. See the picture. It's for the differential lock position sensor.

Warning. With the actuator removed, i bench tested it. It turned one way (likely to the locked state). It won't turn the other way, and i've just learned i need it back in it's original position to re-install.

Can anyone tell me how to get it back to the unlocked state?

(update). there are 5 pins on the actuator plug. the row that only has two pins is what you'll use to connect a 12v power supply. if it doesn't turn when you connect your power leads, immediately stop. you don't want to keep power to the actuator if it won't turn. now, reverse the power leads on the pins. it should turn the other way. easy.

well honestly i wont be much help....but when I installed a locker into one of my previous rigs that was a 2000 non locker from factory...i did not even mess with factory wires. i just clipped and went for it. hot wire to a lighted switch...set it up to be like a gray wire mod and it never failed me... but it wont show up on dashboard...no biggy for me
side note...my current rig is a factory locker...and I did the gray wire mod pronto

yup. because im not using the ECU, the Dark Illusions wiring harness allows all the same options by default.
