Emblem placement

I'm looking for recommendations on where i should place my new "4WheelDrive" emblem. I've seen a few examples but would like to see more if anyone has done something different. Its very possible the emblem just doesn't belong and i'm welcome to that feedback as well.

Examples - im not exactly in love with the mid right location on the back. Im wondering if it would look better on the bottom front of the passenger door or near the back window.

Thank you

If it were me, I’d place it same place as where it says TRD Pro on the gate. Or on the other side. Lower corner placement looks good.

I have the same dilemma. I have a metal one that is nice and flat. The problem is that there aren’t many flat places to install it.
From what I’ve seen, that emblem was from the 1970s Landcruisers where it was installed on the back end lower left or right side. I’d like to install mine there but the sheet metal curvature is kind of too much on my 2018. It seems to sit flatter and better about halfway up the rear hatch on the right hand side, like in your photos.

Good post!, but I'm more interested in the toyota emblem cover up in the first picture. While not what I'd put there, the idea is cool. Odd shape to fill with most badges being round.

True confessions

I'm in this camp. Less is better.

This, clean look wins IMO

Yes, I must confess this was an impulse purchase. I found it online while I was "working from home". I was happy to spend a little bit of my tax refund on something for the truck but I put no thought into where it would go. I agree with y'all about "less is more", but I've always wanted to add some kind of "4x4" badging or emblem. Now that I’m looking at it, this thing doesn't look natural or match the lines of the truck.

I guess i could put it on my Prius!

Nice looking emblem, but I always debadge everything before i ever leave the dealership. I hate that they force you to brand market for them all over the car you pay for, when it's obvious what the car is anyways.

I tried to stay true to the original so I put mine here.

Not being a wise guy, but why is a 4 wheel drive sticker needed?

Also not being a wise guy, but 90% of the mods we do to these things isn't "needed" along with half the options that we "must have" on them. It's part of the whole automotive enthusiast thing to do something that takes it a bit further away from showroom condition.

So, if measuring, how would you place? The bottom of the badge aligned with the center (top to bottom) of that panel? And how far in from the outside edge? Thanks

Where did you get that? Is it metal like the original one?
