On the Limited if the shifter is in 4HI and the 4WD button is not depressed then you are in 2HI. Pushbutton then you are in 4HI.

right, but after you engage the 4WD by pushing the button, you are in 4HI. if i shift the transfer case down one notch, on the shift knob, it says its in 4HI/LO. what is that? i will try to take a picture of it next time, but does anyone know what the 4HI/LO is?
