My check engine light has been on since I drove to penticton[ 400klm] On my way up there I blew my main seal to my tranny...dumping out tranny fluid I hobbled to a shop. My 4runner has alway been really gutless since I bought it and needed to change exaust so we both[ mechanic] were thinking the cat might be clogged making lots of heat in that general area. He thought it was strange that it went at only 70,000 original klm which made us think it was too hot. Change the exaust and the cat wasnt clogged. Next I changed my fuel filter and made a noticible difference, but still not enough. Thinking it was clogged aswell cause when I dove up a long hill it seemed too switch back and forth into 2nd and 3rd way too many times...couldnt hold a gear.[ truck was empty]. Any way my next guess is the o2 sensors...could that be the problem?
