Hey everybody,

I completed the most, if not all of the 120k mile service.

Work Completed
  • Spark Plugs
  • Changed Air Filter
  • Oil Change
  • Transmission Oil Fluid Change
  • Rear and Front Differential Fluid Change
  • Transfer Case Fluid Change
  • Cabin Filter
  • Rotated Tires

My transmission is shifting gears more smoothly. However, it seems like it's harder to pick up speed. Any suggestions?

I only get my oil changes done at the dealer.

Rotation of the tires get done at America's Tire.

For the Transmission, Transfer Case, Front and Rear Diff, I went to a Toyota Specialist who gave me a good enough deal. Transmission fluid is Toyota WS, and the rest of the other fluids I believe are Valvoline.

And for the filters and spark plugs, I changed those myself.

What could the problem be?

Well it may be a stretch but I felt a similar thing when I took my truck to the dealer for the timing belt/water pump etc. They performed the gas pedal recall (cut the gas pedal shorter) and I had to actually move my seat forward more or else it felt like it was lacking in power because I couldn't get the same angle with my foot on the pedal. I have heard of some dealers being sneaky about it and doing it without consent. My dealer said they would do it and kept my truck overnight to finish the TB service the next day. I went that night to get a loaner and told them not to do it if they haven't already. Guess it was too late. No big deal, I got used to it. Like I said it may be a bit of a stretch but I'm sharing my experiences.
