So this happened today.

For months I've been needing to handle the rubbing issue with my tires. Well, let me blame it on my husband because he has been putting it off.

Father in law used the Runner to go down the road and when he came back I noticed the front flare missing on the passenger side.

After the week I'm having (and its only Tuesday) this is the one little thing that is setting me over the edge

I'd blame my husband for my truck woes too, but it's kinda hard when the work on it's all mine. He's even pretty good-natured about the bodily harm threats when he gets too close to it on wrenching days.

If you get a used one it will most likely be painted already. Now I need to figure out how to get a close match with a rattle can. Any one have any ideas?

Price isn't too bad..just not sure how I would match up the color without it looking off, same as your issue.

I'm sure people here were just giving you a hard time, which is hard to tell through text. But there was that one comment that was pointless, offering no help, and just stuipd.

Hey, at least you got the part number you need from it.

If you take it to a body shop, they should be able to blend the paint for you.



A simple suggestion, would be to do what was mentioned above, and get an aftermarket bumper. Or a body lift.

OR, just take all the cladding off like I did, and weld the holes.

It's the little things like that that will drive your ass crazy though. Lol.

Yea the front bumper was already dropped down a bit, just needed to tighten it to bring it back up. There is a lift on it but I don't know how much, we were guessing at least 2 inches.


Its frustrating mainly because I've had the stuff sitting in the house for over a month to do it, just haven't had time due to kids and work. Then I let someone drive it, which I never do, and it gets ripped off lol.

If we could have found the piece it wouldn't be so bad. Parts and paint are expensive which is not in our budget right now.

It's not his fault, it's the husbands. Sheesh, Idiot. :nod: (Since we're using text I'll be sure to include that this was sarcasm.)

OP, if it fell of while backing out of the driveway, I would check the end of the driveway before ordering a new part. (Since we're using text I'll be sure to include that this was sarcasm.)

That said, $50 for the part isn't bad, and since the part is small and has lines on all sides it doesn't need to blend PERFECTLY. I would see what a color matched spray can looks like before I took it to a shop.
