I've spent a lot of time lurking here and absorbing some great information, so I thought it was time for me to share my Electronics setup. I moved all of this from my prior truck. I installed a Pioneer AVH-P2400BT and tied it into my JBL amp and steering wheel controls.
Then I added my Joy Factory iPad mount. There are many styles of mounts out there for the iPad, but I like this one because the bracket interchanges with other JF mounts for use in the house and because the tube mounts are perfect for mounting a soon-to-be-added Ham radio faceplate using a motorcycle handlebar mount.
I can run the iPad/iPhone audio through Bluetooth and play my podcasts, music, etc. thought the stereo.
Using my WiFi mobile hotspot, I am even able to stream my music from iTunes or surf the net using a wireless portable keyboard.
The mount simply bolts in using one seat mounting bolt, so it it easily removed and moved to another car. and it's fully adjustable for use by either front seat occupant.
By adding this Dual GPS receiver (It connects to the iPad through Bluetooth, the wire is the charging cable. It is also battery powered.) I can use the iPad as a large screen GPS unit.
Next I will be adding a Ham and CB radio with remote mount faceplates to the JF mount to complete the installation. Any recommendations on Ham and CB units?
