Entune 3.1 update?

Just did the update. Nice changes and no more ipod auto play!

Dang it. Mine does this every time I use Nav!! It reboots if I do anything other than just listen to the stereo.

You should get yours replaced! Mine only does it occasionally.

You may be right. Will see what the update does then if a problem will have the dealer fix at the 5K service in next week or so. They installed the 2.1 or whatever a month ago, it did not fix the reboot problem Maybe the 3.1 will.

Need help

as soon as i picked mine up saturday it ran an update when it connected to my phone and then did the install. i will check at lunch to confirm the patch #

Mine did that also, it updated fine, but my software version is still 2.1.0 ( general settings / system information ) so I think we have to do the USB thing to get the 3.1 , can anybody chime in, can you update to 3.1 with iPhone ?

I am about 99% sure that the iPhone/or any internet connected phone supported, only updates some items like apps etc but for full firmware, you need to do the USB. That is the way I read the manual anyway... Happy to be wrong if you find out differently, but the USB thing is so darn easy.

I think you are correct, the phone does app updates only, this is a software update. I am going to try the USB install now.

I attempted to update mine (2013 TE) using my iPhone yesterday but it only updated several of the App.'s in Entune. I then followed the instructions in this thread and did the update with a 2GB thumb drive. Worked like a charm. If you're on a Mac you can still format a thumb drive to MS-DOS (Fat32) using Apple's Disk Utility, which is what I did.

on the 2014 entune with nav/hdd, the versioning is totally different than the 2013's.

there isnt a single version number for the the overall system.

different parts of the entune/nav/hdd have different version numbering and if i remember correctly, there is 5 different version numbers tracked in the setup/software screen.

and dont even try to goto the "about screen", there is about 30-40+ version numbers listed in that scrolling mess.

Thanks for the heads up. Just finished updating using a 1gb drive. I'm hoping I won't be driving on railroad tracks when I'm on I40 in OKC on my way home. The highway moved about 2 years back - why so long to update the maps?

Updated from 2.1 to 3.1 on my 2013 LE. Works good so far.

Thanks for sharing this [MENTION=1032]NoDak[/MENTION]. The auto play BT and the auto day/night mode on the display not working properly was so annoying.

Went to Toyota dealer for service today and asked them to update for me. I was told Toyota would mail it to me if it was needed. I tried to give them the TSB so they would be able to advise someone in the future as my vehicle is listed on the bulletin. they didn't care. They also told me if there was one it would take an hour to update at the dealership and I would need to schedule another appointment. Came home did it myself in less than 10 minutes. (Including the download) Thanks guys for the info and help.

no cosmetic changes, mainly functional.

thats the default color for the 2014. you can actually change it to different colors.
