I don't have this exact problem, but mine does completely reboot in the middle of driving some times when connected to bluetooth.
Mine too. It was replaced under warranty but the new unit is also doing it 4 months later!

I have an android phone- Moto X Pure. This happens intermittently, and my go-to solution is pressing and holding the volume button to restart the radio. Easier than toggling bluetooth on the phone. Happens often when switching audio sources on on my phone- if I'm playing music with google play all access, then get a phone call, it will have issues playing music again when the phone call is over.
What's the protocol for starting a repair campaign? Class action? Action request? I'll start the leg work if we can get a bunch of people signed up as a common issue. False advertising or something.
File this one along with the intermittent steering shimmy around 60mph. I have issues with Entune from the bluetooth skipping to the whole headunit crashing and rebooting. The only "solution" I've found is to hold the power button down for a few seconds to do a reboot on the headunit. I'm seriously considering replacing the whole thing with something aftermarket that's compatible with CarPlay.
I read somewhere (maybe another thread on here, couldn't find it again) that somebody had called Toyota and gone thru the chain and FINALLY got someone that said there was a bad batch of stereos. And that was someone working for Toyota....
