Entune Issues After Upgrade to iOS 11

iPhone was working great with the Entune audio in my 5th gen until I upgraded to 11 last week. Been having nothing but issues, including no longer displaying music properly on screen, FF/RW buttons no longer work, songs randomly play, etc. Anyone else seeing this?

Tried downgrading to 10.3.3 but it just bricks. It's also no longer working with the iPod connection on my marine head unit. :redface:

I'm not sure if it's an IOS 11 thing or not. Since updating my iPhone 6s, I've not seen any new issues- but it's not solved any of the old ones either. My Entune head unit (2017 navigation non-JBL) still doesn't recognize all the songs on my iPhone and my podcasts episodes never show up correctly.

When you say it doesn't display the music properly on the screen, what do you mean? If you're referring to the album art, I've never had that work correctly. If you mean the song/album/artist data, then that does seem to work, but only for music. Podcasts get scrambled; the displayed podcast/episode is almost never correct for what is actually coming out of the speakers.

The only real solution I've found it to connect via Bluetooth and select everything directly from my phone, bypassing the head unit navigation entirely.

It’s definitely an issue with iOS 11. I haven’t had the specific issues you’ve described but I have had frequent head unit crash/reboot when attempting to place outbound calls.

After many failed attempts to move back to iOS 10.3.3 I finally restored it to that version and now everything works as it did before.

like a entunes firmware update is needed

I have had random phone disconnects and my head unit has reset on me twice for no reason since updating to iOS 11

Things I’ve done that may helped:

Removed BT pairing from head unit
Removed BT pairing from phone
Re-paired
Opened entune app; was prompted to sign in again
Head unit requested mandatory update.

So far so good. We’ll see.

ios11 issues

I am having the same issue. BT works fine with calls, but won't connect for audio. I've tried resetting all bluetooth options on phone and head unit. I've reset the network settings on the phone and a new sim card. Still the same result.
