Entune Mandatory Update this Morning May 2016

Anyone else get a popup for an Entune mandatory update this morning? I installed it but cannot tell what it changed nor can I find where to check the version number. Assuming maybe it's just a bug patch? Would be nice considering I can't use navigation and Pandora at the same time without it crashing every 30 minutes. Was also hoping it'd fix all my phone texts as showing coming from "unknown" since updating my phone to android 6.0.

Although it was "mandatory" it had an option to install later.

I got it.

Went to details and it listed nothing I didn't think it already had.

Fast download and install though.

Let us know what you find out.

Would be nice if they had a support site somewhere with latest versions, changelogs etc. That's wishful thinking though.

I kind of expected an update to the Entune phone app as well but I checked the Android app store and the last release was from November. Maybe they'll push one out soon that has some more info?

I received the update today as well. I didn't have time to check and see if anything major had changed.
 
As far as the amateurs at Toyota support are concerned, it was an update which 'contained bug fixes and updates to the Entune applications, not the firmware'. When asked if the release notes were published anywhere, I got the run around, indicating no one (at least on the front lines of support) knows.
 
They don't know. They are low-wage unskilled workers reading canned responses from a screen. Their job is to answer the phone so Toyota does not.
 
I just did mine, nothing states on the head unit what it is.
Just an Entune update when one "starts" the Entune app and it connects to the HU...
Good luck finding out what it actually updated!
 
I got it first thing this morning also..I was noticing my Pandora was "skipping" ( my kids don't understand how a CD skips SMH). It hasn't done it since. Also entune would randomly restart while driving. Let's see if this fixes the issue.
 
Got it this afternoon at lunch, seemed to be a quick install.

Would be interesting to see release notes.
 
Just got it, didn't do the install yet as I was only in the car for 5 min. I'll update tonight.
 
Got mine. Had to go into settings : General: software update. After driving home from work I could swear that the white outlines are brighter. Also my iPhone 6plus hooked up to engine very fast.....but that could have been placebo.

Mine installed today and now my welcome screen is a 15 second GIF of Bette Midler singing "Did You Ever Know That You're My Hero".

Don't worry. It will happen to you, too. :-)

I did the update today as well, took all of one minute. My messages still get cut off when I retrieve them from my cell after 10 seconds of playback. Looks like I have to take mine in to the dealership.
