Entune not recognizing USB connected iOS Devices

The only struggle I have with mine is when I transition from the home wifi into the truck and the phone switches over to the bluetooth connection and my cell service, and that only takes about a minute or so for it to get straightened out. Then it works like a charm the whole time. I do leave the entune app running, or open all the time.

My iPhone 8 Plus is not recognized either, most of the times. Sometimes it connects on startup but eventually the music will stop playing and I’ll have to switch to Bluetooth. Other times it won’t connect at all. I’ve tried different cords including actual Apple charging cords and there doesn’t seem to be a difference. Bought my 4R in March, an SR5 Premium, so it’s only 3 months old, so this issue hasn’t been fixed. Trying the fuse trick. Just pulled it before going to bed and will replace tomorrow. I’ll see what happens.

Mine can be a little wonky. For reference, I have a 2012 with the navigation unit. Usually when I connect it, it won't appear as ipod. So what I do is I hit the audio button and switch to a different source (bluetooth, SAT, FM, AM) and then go back to the audio source screen. From there it usually appears. Weird, but it usually works that way for me.

Follow up: Seemed to work. Put fuse back in this morning, plugged phone in, started car and it worked. Turned car on and off a couple of times and the phone was recognized each time. Later in the day, went for a drive and iphone worked through the connection for about 5 miles, then suddenly lost the connection. Tried plugging and unplugging the cord and it didn't work, changed sources and still nothing. Reached my destination and turned off the ignition. When restarted, it connected again only to lose the connection on the way home. At home, turned the ignition off then on and it re-connected. Oh well...
