Entune Update

Received a mandatory Entune software update on my way to work this morning. Didn't have time to see what has changed if anything. Just a heads up that one may be coming your way =)

Hopefully, this fixes the head unit crashes and reboot issues. I really don't want to take mine in and have them pull apart my dash and scratch things up to install a new head unit.

I have a 2012 so no OTA updates for me, but my app on my phone had an update this morning. Nothing for our actual Entune system, we just had one a few weeks ago.

Do they post an update change log anywhere? i declined my update thinking i could read the change log first because i assumed it was published somewhere but can't find it

do you need a toyota app on your phone to receive updates or is it an over the air update?

Anyone know how to remove the iHeartRadio and Slacker apps from the list of modes?

I never want to use anything but XM, CD or iPhone and I can't figure out how to kill the options I won't use.

Yes, you need to download the Entune app on your phone and connect it to the truck.

Got the same update yesterday. Whatever it was, it was pretty small. Not sure what happened (and I think the app was updated on my phone too recently) but I did notice that my phone no longer fails on the first attempted connection with the head unit. :shrug:

Anybody on ios10? Recently my radio stopped showing music info only when using my iTunes app. Still works for Pandora. Curious if this is an entune or ios issue. The only thing that's changed for me is the update of ios and entune.

Don't know. But as mentioned before, you also need to have the entune app running on your phone and connected to the head unit as well.
