Hi All,
Can anyone verify that error code P0456 turns off traction control and stability?
I totalled my 4Runner on a rainy day when it spun out of control and I was unable to recover the spin.
Error Code P0456 was displayed along with the stability and traction control lights on.
My argument with Toyota (they are denying this error code shuts off vsc and traction) is that the stability and traction should not be disabled for a gas cap. I am researching and seeing a lot of 4runner single car accidents and suspect this may be the case.
I put about 95,000 trouble free miles on my 4Runner, learned to drive in ice and snow and drove cars in training scenarios (offensive) for the DoD so I have significant traction experience. Tires had about 20k miles on
