Evaporator core, doing it myself

My evaporator core is shot and leaking like a sieve. I've ordered the evaporator and drier and plan on changing it this weekend. I know I have to basically rip apart the entire dash but what else do I need to be aware of? Of course I'm going to flush the system and make sure its clean before I close it back up. It doesn't seem that hard just time consuming with the dash removal. I've got the FSM but anyone with first hand knowledge of any clips or things that will break on dissasembly that I need to get would be helpful.

^This. There is a warning I remember reading in the wiring diagrams to disconnect the negative battery cable and wait at least 15 minutes before working anywhere near the airbags or sensors. They have a capacitor that holds a residual charge.
