Long story somewhat shorter:
I drove a 1986 4runner alongside a 1988 Isuzu Trooper back in 1992. I liked the Toyota better, but the price was right on the Troop, so I became a fan of those boxy wheelers for many years until I drove the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Unlimited back in '05. That was my baby up until last March when I was test driving the 2010 4Runner for my wife. I was blown away.
Someone tell me how it's possible to have a roomy, powerful, 4 wheel drive, super smooth riding vehicle that gets 22.5 mpg combined? How does Toyota do it? This thing just glides over stuff that would loosen fillings in my Jeep.
I have a silver 2010 SR5, 4wd with black grey 2-tone leather seats and sliding cargo tray. I got really lucky because I found it on a lot and I couldn't have ordered one any better for my use.
(FWIW, wife ended up with a LX-570...happy wife, happy life)
